A love of infants – food – crafts – and all things French inspired Babette to express her sense of humor and talents in Babette’s To-Go Feast. After graduating from UCLA, Babette went in search of adventure. She settled in Paris as an au pair learning about the French culture and thoroughly enjoying her little charges. As a proud Francophile, Babette advanced her language skills and has maintained close ties with her adopted French family. While in Paris, Babette earned a Certificate in Fashion Design at the Paris American Academy of Design. Returning to the US, Babette wished to pursue a career in fashion design.
Fast forward…marriage and babies and other career pursuits, Babette found herself always looking for a creative outlet. She found any excuse to do crafty design things. Babette has been inspired to make many handmade gifts through the years. Special handmade gifts for babies proved to be the greatest joy.
Influenced by party-goers at a baby shower early in 2005, Babette was inspired to recreate the Sushi Dynamite Burp Cloth To-Go Package she gave as a gift. Even before leaving the shower, gift orders were taken. Late one evening a great creative brain surge allowed Babette to invent additional baby gift items. Sharing her ideas with her husband Kenn and friends, the cheeky product names were created and Babette’s To-Go Feast was launched.
Made with a special joie de vivre each item is created as a unique and special gift item for each petit enfant extraordinaire.
